Reliance Jio, Airtel and Vi have announced price Hike for its prepaid and postpaid plans in India Base recharge now starts at Rs. 189 for a 28-day plan.
Airtel plans have seen a hike between 11% and 20% with the yearly plan costing Rs. 3599, up by 20% from Rs. 2999. New tariffs for all Airtel plans will be available on airtel.in starting July 3rd, 2024. Airtel said that these prices will apply to all circles, including Bharti Hexacom Ltd. Circles.
Airtel said that it has maintained that the mobile Average Revenue per User (ARPU) needs to be upwards of Rs. 300, to enable a financially healthy business model for Telcos in India.

Jio Platforms Limited has introduced two new applications:
JioSafe – Quantum-secure communication app for calling, messaging, file transfer and more (priced at Rs 199 per month)
JioTranslate – AI-powered multilingual communication app for translating voice call, voice message, text and image (priced at Rs 99 per month). Jio users will get both these applications (worth Rs 298/month) free for a year.
