According to a latest report from Strategy Analytics. The research firm revealed Android maintained first position with a record 97 percent smartphone OS marketshare in India.
Total smartphone shipments in India grew a healthy 19 percent annually from 25.8 million units in Q2 2015 to 30.7 million in Q2 2016. iOS share on the other hand fell 35 percent annually as Apple shipped 8 lakh smartphones in India in Q2 2016. Apple’s market share decreased from 4% in Q2 2015 to 2%. India is currently the third largest smartphone market after the US, China and India.
