Apple has launched iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max in the iPhone 15 Pro series. both come with a new Titanium design, A17 Pro chip, a customizable Action Button, USB 3 Type-C.
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a strong and lightweight titanium design for the first time. These feature a new refined brush texture, contoured edges, and the thinnest borders on iPhone. These use an industry-first thermo-mechanical process, the titanium bands encase a new substructure made from 100 percent recycled aluminum, bonding these two metals with incredible strength through solid-state diffusion
iPhone 15 Pro has a 6.1-inch (2556×1179 pixels) OLED Super Retina XDR display, iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch (2796×1290 pixels) OLED 460ppi Super Retina XDR display, Both phones have a 1000 nits max brightness, 1600 nits peak brightness, up to 2000 nits peak outdoor brightness, HDR, True Tone, Dynamic Island, Always-On display, ProMotion technology with adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz, Ceramic Shield protection. Both are powered by new A17 Pro 3nm chip that uses EUV process, and has 19 billion transistors. The chip has a 6-core CPU with two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. It features an accelerated 6-core GPU that is up to 20% faster, and brings Ray tracing support and a new 16-core Neural Engine.
The all-new Action button replaces the single-function switch. This can be customized to launch the camera or flashlight, activating Voice Memos, Focus modes, Translate, and accessibility features like Magnifier or using Shortcuts for more options. The company said that a press-and-hold gesture with fine-tuned haptic feedback and visual cues in the Dynamic Island ensure the new button launches the intended action.
iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature a 48MP Main camera with a new 24MP super-high-resolution default, and can switch between 24 mm, 28 mm, and 35 mm. There is 48MP ProRAW, and supports 48MP HEIF images with 4x more resolution. iPhone 15 Pro features 3x Telephoto camera, and iPhone 15 Pro Max has a 5x telephoto camera at 120 mm for the first time that uses tetraprism design with a combined optical image stabilization and autofocus 3D sensor-shift module, which Apple says is its most advanced stabilization system yet.
These feature next-generation portraits for sharper detail, more vivid colors, and better low-light performance. You can take portraits without having to switch to Portrait mode. Apple says that the Night mode is better with sharper details and more vivid colors, now powered by the Photonic Engine, including Night mode portraits, enabled by the LiDAR scanner.
ProRes video can be recorded directly to external storage, enabling higher recording options up to 4K at 60 fps. iPhone 15 Pro also introduces a new option for Log encoding and is the first smartphone in the world to support ACES, the Academy Color Encoding System, a global standard for color workflows, said Apple. Spatial video capture will be available later this year.
Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max come in Black Titanium, White Titanium, Blue Titanium, and Natural Titanium colours in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. iPhone 15 Pro 128GB cost Rs. 1,34,900 256GB– Rs. 1,44,900, 512GB – Rs. 1,64,900, 1TB – Rs. 1,84,900. iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB priced at Rs. 1,59,900, 512GB – Rs. 1,79,900, 1TB – Rs. 1,99,900. iPhone 15 Pro series will be available through apple.com/store and in the Apple Store app, in stores from September 22 with pre-order starting from September 15.
