Apple iPhone 6s with 3D force touch display launched



Apple unveils the S version of the iPhone and the tradition has continued with the introduction of iPhone 6s. The Cupertino based company has announced the successor of the iPhone 6 at its special event in San Francisco.

 It features a 4.7-inch LED-backlit HD display running at a resolution of 1334×750 pixels. The screen is protected by Ion-strengthened glass along with oleophobic coating. with 2GB of RAM. The iPhone 6s is available in three storage variants – 16GB, 64GB and 128GB.

Furthermore, the iOS operating system can now differentiate between taps and deep presses, which in turn will trigger certain pre-set operations.

The iPhone 6s has an updated and a snappier chip known as the A9 processor. According to the company, the new silicon offers 70% more processing power than what the previous generation chip was capable of. As usual, Apple is not revealing the CPU core and its clock speed details, and there’s no information on the new GPU either, but we know that it’s 90% faster than the graphics processor on the A8 chip.

Apple has finally gone with a larger camera sensor on the iPhone 6s. The main snapper on the device features a 12-megapixel unit and the dual-LED dual-tone flash set up is untouched. The camera is now capable of capturing 2160p videos at 30 fps. You can also choose to shoot videos between 1080p or 2160p resolution and slow-mo at 720 @ 240 frames per second.

The front-facing camera has also been upgraded. The iPhone 6s now has a 5-megapixel sensor and it supports 1080p videos. Apple has also enhanced the performance of the TouchID. According to Phill Schiller, the new sensor is two times faster than the first generation.

Moving on to the connectivity department, the 6s pretty much retains all the options from the previous models – LTE Cat. 4, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/b/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, A2DP, LE, A-GPS with GLONASS, NFC for Apple Pay and VoLTE support.



Apple iPhone 6s will be up for grabs in 4 color options – Silver, Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold. The unlocked 16GB base variant will cost you $649, while 64GB option will set you back by $749 and the 128GB model is priced at $849. The Apple iPhone 6s will be available for pre-ordering in the United States, starting September 12. The phone will launch in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong and Japan in the first wave.
