Apple iPhones price increased in India after Customs duty hike

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley announced an increase in customs duty for imported mobile phones from 15 percent to 20 percent. Now Apple has increased the price of all iPhone models in India.

Apple iPhones are already available at a steep price over its retail price in the US and with the hike, the much sought after devices will be more difficult to reach for average Indians. Here is how much the iPhones will cost in India starting February 5, 2018.

Apple iPhone X price starts at Rs 95,390 for the 64GB variant, a 7 percent premium over its November launch price. The iPhone X variant with 256GB storage is priced at Rs 1,08,930

Apple iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus

Apple iPhone 8 is now available at a starting price of Rs 67,940 for the 64GB version, The 256GB variant is priced at Rs 81,500. iPhone 8 Plus now starts at Rs 77,560 for the 64GB variant and Rs 91,110 for the 256GB model.

Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus 
 iPhone 7 now starts at Rs 52,370 for the 32GB variant and Rs 61,560 for the 128GB storage model. The iPhone 7 Plus priced at Rs 62,840 for the 32GB model while the 128GB storage for Rs 72,060.

Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus
Apple iPhone 6s now available a starting price of Rs 42,900 for the 32GB variant, the 128GB model will retail for Rs 52,100. The iPhone 6s Plus is priced at Rs 52,240 for the 32GB model while the 128GB model will retail for Rs 61,450.

Apple Watch Series 3
Apple Watch Series 3 now cost Rs 32,380 for the GPS-only model with 38mm watchface. The 42mm model is now priced at Rs 34,410

Apple iPhone will be available at the same price. The iPhone SE is priced at Rs 26,000 for the 32GB variant and Rs 35,000 for the 128GB model.
