Apple new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini launched

Apple has introduced new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini with 5nm M1 chip, improved battery life, and more.

Apple Mac mini comes with a new M1 chip with 8-core CPU offering up to 3x faster performance than the previous generation with the Intel Core processor. The 8-core GPU promises up to a 6x increase in graphics performance for performance-intensive tasks like complex 3D rendering with ease. It offers up to 15x faster performance in ML and consumes 60% less energy than the previous generation. The new Mac mini features an advanced thermal design to sustain its breakthrough performance while staying cool and quiet, comes with support for up to two displays including Apple’s Pro Display XDR in full 6K resolution with dual Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports. It has Wi-Fi 6 support and the Secure Enclave in M1 offers the best-in-class security. It has up to 8GB RAM, which is configurable up to 16GB, and 256GB or 512GB options, which is configurable up to 2TB.
Apple Mac mini with M1 chip is priced at Rs. 64,900 for the 256GB version and the 512GB version costs 84,900. It will be available from Apple Authorised Resellers offline and online in India soon.

Apple new MacBook Pro features a 13.3-inch Retina display with a resolution of 2560×1600 at 227 pixels per inch, 500 nits brightness, P3 colour gamut, and True Tone technology. It is powered by Apple M1 chip which has an 8-core CPU with 4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores, 8-core GPU, and 16-core Neural Engine. Apple says that the 8-core CPU paired with the active cooling system is up to 2.8x faster than the previous generation and the 8-core GPU is up to 5x faster. Further, the ML is now up to 11x faster when compared to the previous generation. As for the memory, it sports 8GB of RAM (configurable up to 16GB) and up to 2TB of SSD.  battery life on the MacBook Pro 13-inch has been improved as well. It now delivers up to 17 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 20 hours of video playback which is twice the battery life of the previous generation. It comes with the Magic Keyboard with Scissor mechanism and the familiar Touch Bar, and as for the ports, there are 2x Thunderbolt ports with USB 4 support and a headphone jack. For connectivity, there is support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0.
It runs on macOS Big Sur and this time, the MacBook Pro 13-inch also features Apple’s latest camera ISP that enables sharper images and more detail in shadows and highlights on video calls. Other new features include studio-quality mics, Secure Enclave in M1 chip and Touch ID.
MacBook Pro 13-inch with 256GB SSD is priced at Rs. 1,22,900 and the 512GB SSD option is priced at Rs. 1,42,900.

Apple has also launched new MacBook Air powered by the new M1 chip with 8-core CPU offering up to 3.5x faster performance. ML workloads are up to 9x faster, and the chip’s storage controller and latest flash technology deliver up to 2x faster SSD performance. Apple said that the MacBook Air powered by M1 is faster than the chips in 98% of laptops sold in the past year.  13.3-inch Retina display now supports P3 wide color results. It has Wi-Fi 6, two Thunderbolt ports with USB 4 support and retains the sleek wedge-shaped design and the Magic Keyboard.  It also promises up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 18 hours of video playback — the longest battery life ever on a MacBook Air

Apple MacBook Air with M1 chip comes in Gold, Silver and Space Grey color, is priced at Rs. 92,900 for the 256GB Storage and Rs 1,17,900 for 512GB Storage. It will be available starting November 17 in India.
