Asus VivoBook 15 X512F Review

Asus has launched VivoBook 15 X512 series laptops in India which come with NanoEdge display, NVIDIA GeForce Graphics. We have been using the VivoBook 15 (X512) i7 variant. Here’s all you need to know

We have grey color, It comes in more colors. Top there is chromed Asus logo with a matte finish like opening the lid we get 15.6-inch NanoEdge Display with 88% screen to body ratio,  bezels on the sides of the screen are very thin, it has Microphone, web camera, Asus VivoBook branding. Full function keyboard with some texture finish, Touchpad with fingerprint Scanner and sonic master branding.

 

 

On right there is a USB 3.1, HDMI, Power, USB Type C, microSD and 3.5mm audio port, On left there is  USB ports along with LED indicators. Dual stereo speakers powered by SonicMaster tech are placed on the bottom. The laptop is made up of plastic with a matte finish. it weighs 1.75 kg. Build quality is good

 

 

 

 

 

Twin stereo speakers are placed under the notebook that is powered by SonicMaster tech. On the right of the laptop, Asus has placed a USB 3.1, HDMI, Power, USB Type C, microSD and 3.5mm audio ports. On the left of the Asus Vivobook X512F, users get two USB ports along with LED indicators.

Asus Vivobook X512F comes with a  15.6 inch Full HD LED Backlit Anti-glare NanoEdge Display. It comes with ultraslim 5.7mm bezel,88% screen-to-body ratio. The Display is not reflective. It produces good colors and Viewing angles. The display has good brightness level watching videos gives a good experience, Audio quality is loud and clear.

Asus Vivobook X512F is powered by Core i7 8565 8th Gen Processor with Intel HD 620 onboard graphics. It has 8GB RAM and 512GB PCIeNVME SSD. It has support for NVIDIA Geforce MX250 Graphics. It comes preloaded with Windows 10 Home, No much pre-loaded apps available it comes with McAfee pre-installed. Performance is good, While playing games at medium settings there was no issue while playing games at a higher setting there was a heating issue. Considering its not a gaming laptop for other multimedia and office works the performance is good.

 


Asus VivoBook X512F comes with Fullsize keyboard with Numpad comes with backlight support. The typing experience is good, the touchpad is responsive, connectivity options include USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C, USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, 3.5mm audio jack, micro SD card reader, HDMI 1.4, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. It has fingerprint sensor with support for Windows Hello. The fingerprint scanner works fast. VivoBook 15 X512 laptop is backed by a 2-cell 37Wh battery. In normal usage, we got close to 5 hours of battery life. It takes less than 2 hours to charge fully

Asus Vivobook X512F offers good performance, Bezel-less display, lighter weight design. It’s a good option for those who travel often or for colleges students. The model we used for Review is now available for Rs 72,990, i3 model available for Rs 35,000, i5 model for Rs 48,900 in India.
