Datamini TPOS7 Janunnati Pad with fingerprint scanner for Aadhaar authentications launched

 Datamini have launched TPOS7 Janunnati Pad, to support the government’s ongoing flagship programs such as Digital India and Make in India. It is India’s first touch-enabled mobile device with integrated STQC-certified fingerprint scanner for Aadhaar authentication.




“It can be used to help in the implementation of key e-Governance initiatives such as DBT (Direct Benefits Transfer) via Aadhaar-linked savings bank accounts of scheme beneficiaries, through its in-built fingerprint scanner, payments card reader and barcode scanner. It can also be deployed in the ‘Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana’ (PMJDY), to extend banking services to the rural and urban poor; make wage payments linked to Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS); deliver subsidised foodgrains to BPL families via the e-PDS (Public Distribution System); monitor public health services under the National Health Mission (NHM) and so on,” said the company.

Datamini TPOS7 Janunnati Pad feature a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) multi-touch display powered by a 1.44GHz Intel Atom x5-Z8300 processor (up to 1.84 GHz in turbo mode) with Intel HD Graphics
coupled with a 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory which is further expandable memory up to 64GB with micro SD. Device runs on Windows 10 Home / Windows 10 Professional. It has a 5MP auto focus rear camera and 2MP front-facing camera . Connectivity options include 3G (Via SIM) / 4G (Optional), WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0Fingerprint Scanner, Bar Code reader or SAM slot, Smart Card reader. Packed by a 5000mAh battery

Commenting on the launch, Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog, Govt. of India said:The National Policy of Electronics, 2012 (NPE) and the ‘Digital India’ mission have set ambitious targets of achieving ‘Net Zero’ imports of Electronics and IT hardware goods by 2020, by substituting imports with locally manufactured products, and increasing exports. This new Tablet, designed, developed and produced in India by MAIT members Intel and Datamini is a step in the right direction to help India achieve an important national economic goal, and at the same time establish a foothold in overseas markets.

 Datamini TPOS7 Janunnati Pad comes in black color, will be priced between Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 20,000 depending upon the configuration and will be available later this month.
