Fossil has introduced a new watch to its recently launched Q series of of connected wearable devices. The Q54 Pilot is an analog watch that features colorful straps and sports LED indicators.
Q54 Pilot uses filtered LED colour-coded and vibration notifications from contacts, apps or keywords. It tracks steps and calories burnt and sends alerts for new notifications. The watch can be paired with iOS or Android devices and Fossil says that it is engineered with Intel Innovation. Fossil has also added a number of updates to its app that now runs on new version 1.1.

Given that, we are more committed than ever to bring our design expertise as watchmakers into the wearable technology space,” said Jill Elliott-Sones, chief creative officer at Fossil. “Today at CES, we are thrilled to show off the next generation of Fossil Q wearables and look forward to introducing CES to the playful and curious world of Fossil.”
The company has enhanced its app refresh rate that results into an improved activity reporting. You can now choose one of three notification vibration patterns: steady, echo and rapid. Profile photos on the app can now be added or changed. Q Notifications now supports 17 additional apps – including Delta, Misfit, PayPal, Tinder, Venmo, and others, bringing the total supported to 50. Finally, the app gets support for four additional languages including traditional Chinese, simplified Chinese, Dutch and Italian.
Fossil has also announced new interchangeable straps – seaglass and blush for women while silicone stripes in grey and navy for men for Fossil Q wearables.The Q54 Pilot will be available in early spring and will cost between $175 and $215, depending on strap options.
