Fujitsu’s Arrows NX F-04G is world’s first to feature iris recognition



Fujitsu’s latest smartphone, the Arrows NX F-04G, has become the world’s first to be equipped with iris authentication tech. The device recently went on sale in Japan, where NTT Docomo is offering it for $750 sans contract.

This is the world’s first smartphone to be equipped with iris authentication technology. Iris authentication is a biometric authentication system that uses the pattern of the iris in the human eye. The iris finishes development when an individual is around two years old, and has the advantages of being permanent, hard to injure externally, and difficult to forge

 device is powered by a Snapdragon 810 SoC with octa-core CPU and Adreno 430 GPU, and sports a 5.2-inch 1440×2560 IPS display. It comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal memory, and packs in a 3,120mAh battery.The Arrows NX F-04G features a 21MP main camera, and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
