Gionee M6 and M6 Plus With Octa Core SoC & 4GB RAM launched in China

Gionee today launched Gionee M6 and M6 Plus smartphones in their Marathon series . Both devices comes with a dedicated encryption  chip inside

Gionee M6  feature a  a 5.5-inch (1920 × 1080 pixels) Full HD AMOLED display powered by a 1.8 GHz Octa Core Helio P10 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage.  13 megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, an LED flash, and phase detection autofocus and 8-megapixel front facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and 4P lens camera app is loaded with a bunch of imaging features like PicNote, Smart Scan, GIF, Smart Scene, Slow Motion, Time-lapse, and Text Recognition etc.Device sports metal uni body design and Fingerprint scanner on Back The device measure 152.3mm * 75.3mm * 8.2mm(mm)and weights 180g packed by a 5000mAh Battery.

Gionee designed the phone to cater to  high-level businessmen: someone who needs a phone that can last days while on business trips, and, of course, the need to ensure whatever  files on their device is safe from prying eyes.The phone has a dedicated app for that, named “Secret Space.” In it  are options to store photos, text messages, contact lists,  files/documents, and e-payment info such as Alipay. Once you put  something in here, the information disappears from the rest of your  phone. Gionee claims there’s no way to access this info unless the  person can get into the app — locked via fingerprint sensor or  Passcode ,chip is 128-bit encrypted, which is  the same level of security that commercial banks use.

Encryption on a hardware  level is much stronger and harder to break than on a software level, because the latter operates within a device’s operating system and can  be infiltrated, while hardware encryption is self-contained
