Google launches Customizable ‘Live Cases’ for Nexus Phones

Google has announced customized Live snap case for Nexus 5X, 6, and 6P phones that lets you customize the case using your favorite photo or map. There is also a programmable shortcut button on the back that can be customized to launch any app using the Live Case app. It makes use of NFC in these phones.

  • Designed by you: Start with a photo or a favourite place on Google Maps. Add a style, pick your finish, and ta-da, you’ve finished.
  • Snap on your case to see your home screen turn into a slideshow of poses that you handpicked from Google Photos.
  • For the Photos Live Case, enjoy a customisable picture gallery. With the Places Live Case, see a stylised map of your current location.
  • One touch access: Launch your favorite app quickly with a programmable shortcut button.





Google customized Live cases is currently available in the US from the Google Store and costs $35 (Rs. 2,330 approx.) per case.
