Huawei Honor Phones to enter US market

Huawei is planning to expand its Honor brand of phones to the international market soon. The Chinese smartphone maker revealed its plans to launch Honor phones in the US in 2016.

George Zhao, President of Honor Global said in an interview that Honor will debut with a set of its current international devices in the U.S., with new region-specific devices coming in the future. There is no word on what devices will the company bring to the US but it could be the Honor 7 and the Honor 6 Plus.

“The United States market is the highest end market for Huawei, so we have been planning for a very long time. The International CES is planned for January, as you know, so you should expect to hear more about our United States plan at that time.”said George Zhao, President of Honor Global.

Honor has also sent out invites for a press conference at CES 2016 in January. It looks like the company will offer more information about its US plans during the event.
