Huawei Mate S, launched at the biggest consumer electronics show, IFA, in Berlin, has a 5.5-inch 1080×1920 pixel display, a 13-megapixel rear camera with RGBW sensor, and a fingerprint scanner. Huawei says it is one of the first smartphones to include a Force Touch display, which can distinguish between a light tap and deep press, enabling access to more functions just by pressing harder.

On the photography front, it features a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and optical image stabilization, while upfront there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera along with LED flash.
The smartphone also features 2,700mAh battery, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.1 LE, and GPS. On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop wrapped under Emotion UI 3.1.

Huawei’s Mate S phone will retail for EUR 649 ($732, or roughly Rs. 48,300) – comparable to some higher-end Apple iPhone 6 series models – with a premium version for EUR 748 (roughly Rs. 55,600), the Chinese company said.
Its Mate S will be available in more than 30 countries including China, Germany, Israel, Japan, France, Germany, and Spai,n and can be pre-ordered in Western Europe from September 15.
