Lumia 830 gets Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 in India

Microsoft recently started rolling out Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 to some Lumia devices throughout the world. According to new reports from our readers, the Lumia 830 is getting Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 in India as well. Our own editor, Anmol has also received Update 2 for his Lumia 830. The latest OS version for the Lumia 830 is 8.10.15148.160 while the firmware version is 02177.00000.15184.36003.

For those wondering, Update 2 for Windows Phone 8.1 brings a handful of new features and improvements – here are just some of them:

Settings are now reorganized into groups, and you can even search them.
Switch your calendar to show week numbers in a monthly view.
Switch mobile data on and off easily – add a shortcut to the action centre.
Cortana supports new languages: French, German, Italian and Spanish.

It’s worth noting that other Lumia devices, including the Lumia 1520, 1320 and 930 has also picked up firmware updates. According to The WC, the latest firmware update for the Lumia 1520’s version number is 02540.00019.15236.45004 – unfortunately though, there isn’t any info on the latest updates for the Lumia 1320 and 930.
