The 10-week training program, created in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), India, Indian Cellular Association (ICA) and the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA),Taiwan, will propel the ‘Make in India’ initiative. MediaTek will share its smartphone design expertise, and leverage its well-established global ecosystem to support the program.

The two-and-a-half-month program, including one and a half month in Taiwan, will deliver:
In Depth: From theory & product design to hands-on experience in building handset from scratch into actual phone that can call. Full scope:
Hardware overview with all relevant key domains like electrical design, RF, connectivity, BSP, and multimedia
Cover all key component knowledge : All key component makers of the handset ecosystem will together deliver knowledge to attendants .Develop necessary soft-skills to lead team for efficient execution of handset projects
About 50 professionals, with minimum five years of experience in Research and Development (R&D) in electronics including at least two years of exposure in hardware design, will be selected from key handset makers across the country to take part in the training program. The training program is free of cost for all attendees, barring flight ticket, travel insurance and visa application processing fee.
MediaTek will train engineers in R&D competence and design project management. The company will also coordinate with key component companies to be part of the training module with hands-on instruction. This will be a one-time opportunity for the participants where all key component makers and industry stakeholders will together impart knowledge about their specialized segments.
