Micromax becomes world’s 10th largest mobile brand in Q1: Gartner

Indian handset maker Micromax has become the 10th largest mobile phone brand in the world in the first quarter of 2015, up from No. 17 in 2011, research firm Garner said.

The Gartner report extensively compiles the global data of mobile phones sales to end consumers, as compared to other reports which are based on the shipment of the devices.

Besides India, Micromax has also made entry into all the SAARC markets and gained a foothold in global markets like Russia to become a global mobile phone player from India.
The company said that it has received an overwhelming response to the Canvas series that include devices like Canvas Spark, Canvas Knight, Canvas Doodle 4 and Canvas Fire.
