According to Brazilian website TecMundo, July 28 is when Motorola will officially announce its third-generation Moto G smartphone, which is likely going to be known as the Moto G (2015).
Reportedly, prices for the new Moto G will start at 899 BRL in Brazil, being similar to the prices of the Moto G (2014). Thus, we expect the new handset to cost as low as $179.99 in the US.
As previously reported, the Moto G (2015) should sport a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels, while being powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor. Other features seemingly include a 5 MP front-facing camera, a 13 MP rear camera, a 2470 mAh battery, and microSD card support. It’s said that there will be a Moto G (2015) version with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal memory, and another one with 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. Interestingly, TecMundo has it that the new Moto G is water-resistant (IPx7-certified, thus not just splash-proof like the older model), but we have to wait for the official announcement to be sure of that.
