Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus gets Android 8.1 Oreo update

Motorola started rolling out Android Oreo update for the Moto G5 Plus users in India and Brazil and for the Moto G5 users in Mexico.

Android Oreo brings a lot of new features and improvements including Background limits, Notification channels, snooze notifications, Autofill APIs, Picture in Picture (PIP) display, Adaptive icons, Support for high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs such as LDAC codec, Keyboard navigation, Revamped power menu, New Settings Menu, Bluetooth Battery percentage and more.

• Android  8.1 Oreo: many enhancements including new multitasking features, more efficient notification controls and improved data saver, battery features, new power menu UI and Bluetooth improvements.
• Android security: includes the updates of Android security patches
• Stability improvements: includes changes that fix bugs and improve the stability of your phone.

No Details when Moto G5S series will get the Oreo update.OTA update will be rolling out in batches should be available to all in coming days. Moto G5 and Moto G5s series won’t be getting Android Pie Update.
