Moto Z and Moto Z force with Motomods was announced at Lenovo Tech World 2016 last week . Moto Z series will launch in India in September-October along with the global launch. “Mods with the Moto Z will define a new category of products,” Aymar de Lencquesaing, Senior Vice President, Lenovo Group, Co-President, Mobile Business Group, Chairman & President, Motorola Mobility, said today.
Moto Z feature a 5.5-inch QHD AMOLED display powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM and 32 or 64GB of storage with SD card expansion, On camera, it has a 13-megapixel camera with f/1.8 lens and optical image stabilization; fingerprint scanner; and 2600mAh battery. Moto is highlighting the fact that the phone is a scant 5.2mm thick without any Mod accessories attached and claims that it is the thinnest premium smartphone.
Moto Z Force feature 5.5 inch 2K Moto ShatterShield display powered by a 2.15 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 CPU coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, On Camera, it has a 21MP rear camera with LED Flash and 5MP front-facing camera. Device runs on Android 6.0.1 Packed by a 3500 mAh with Turbocharge support.
Moto Mods, which connect to the 16-dots at the rear, will at launch include the JBL SoundBoost, the Moto Insta-Share Projector (meant to deliver a 70-inch projector experience), and the Power Pack (said to provide up to 22 hours of additional battery life). Style Shells will also be available and offer finishes like real wood, leather, and fabric.
Lenovo had showcased mods to add battery capacity, speaker and even a Pico projector, and promised more will be launched along with the smartphone in September. These mods will be priced between $50 and $200.
