OPPO launched ColorOS 15 based on Android 15 for the Chinese market at the OPPO Developer Conference 2024. OPPO describes ColorOS 15 as “super light and more comfortable,” emphasizing a new design language that showcases natural light and shadow.

Industry-First Parallel Animation: ColorOS 15 introduces a parallel animation capability, enabling multiple windows to operate simultaneously. OPPO highlights quick response times with fingerprint swipes, ensuring a smooth user experience.

Enhanced Motion Effects: Delicate motion effects are integrated throughout the system, delivering a consistent sliding experience across both OPPO-developed and third-party applications.

Zero Performance Issues: ColorOS 15 aims for a seamless user experience, claiming zero occurrences of common issues such as crashes, stutters, frame drops, delays, and touch disconnections.

Gaming and Video Call Performance: Users can enjoy high frame rates for gaming and video calls, averaging 116.7 FPS. OPPO also reports an average application installation speed improvement of 26% and a 50% faster initial loading speed for third-party application albums.

Aurora Engine: This new rendering architecture shifts from a traditional serial response to a parallel response method, resulting in an 18% improvement in control response speed and a 40% increase in control stability.
