Both phones come with Plastic build with gradient finish,6.26-inch (1520 × 720 pixels) HD+ 19:9 display, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, powered by Octa-Core Snapdragon  632 processor. Redmi 7 comes with 2/3GB RAM and 32GB storage compared to 3/4GB RAM, 32/64GB Storage on Redmi Y3  both phones have support for MicroSD card slot.

On Camera, Redmi 7 and Y3 has a 12MP rear camera with LED Flash, secondary 2MP camera, 8MP front-facing Camera on Redmi 7 and 32MP front-facing camera on Redmi Y3 Both phones can record 1080p videos. Both phones have 4000mAh battery do not support fast charging.
