Reliance Jio 4G Tariff Plans announced

Reliance today at an annual general meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries announced Reliance Jio trariff plans with Unlimited Voice calls and  Meassages , Jio plans start at Rs 149 and go up to Rs 4,999. All except the base plan offer unlimited 4G data at night

Voice calls will always be free on Jio 4G to any network  (Local and STD) and there will be no roaming charges. Moreover, there will be no blackout days on special occasions or festivals where people will be charged more. To help customers, Reliance will also start AADHAR based e-KYC for instant activation. This service will start in Mumbai and Delhi first, later rolled out to the rest of the country.

Jio will  have price points starting from Rs 19 for the occasional data user with 1 day validity, to a monthly Rs. 149 plan for the light data user This also includes unlimited 4G data at night and free data usage by connecting to JioNet WiFi Hotspots.

With these plans, effective rate for data is just 5p/ MB, or Rs 50/ GB compared to effective rate of about Rs. 250/ GB for other operators. This can go down to Rs. 25/GB depending on the pack. Jio doesn’t have any Blackout Days like other operators.

Data tariffs for Jio 4G start at Rs. 50/GB and is among the lowest in the world. Students will also be able to avail additional 25% discount on Jio tariff with a valid student ID.

 

Some Important announcement

Voice calls will be completely free. ,Jio Apps subscription worth Rs 15,000 will also be free until 31st December of 2017.No charges for national roaming. ,Any student who has a valid ID card will get the benefit of 25% more data on Jio’s main tariff plans ,Rs.50 for every 1 GB of data. Starting in select cities, Jio is rolling out a fiber to home wireline network Any customer carrying an Aadhaar card will be able to walk out of a Jio store with a working connection within 15 minutes. They are rolling out this new Aadhaar based eKYC process in the coming weeks across all Jio stores in India.

The Jio 4G network goes live for the public starting September 5th and will be free for all till December 31st 2016. All 4G devices will be eligible starting September 5th and VoLTE is not required for making calls, you can also use the Jio Join app.
