It has a 2600mAh battery, which is slightly larger than the 2300mAh battery on the JioFi 2. This promises up to 5 hours of usage and up to 260 hours of standby. This might vary depending on the network condition. Jio says that it will take up about 3 hours and 30 minutes to charge the device using the power adapter and about 6 hours using USB.
Under the back cover there is a microSD and a micro SIM slot. The device has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n support and lets you connect up to 10 WiFi-enabled devices and to a device using USB.It also comes with a Jio 4G SIM. Similar to the JioFi 2, you can make voice and video calls even on a 2G/3G phone by installing JioJoin app and connecting it to the hotspot over WiFi.
