Ricoh India has launched today Ricoh Theta S 360 Degree Camera, which will be available from December at a base price of Rs.39,995. This handheld camera can capture 360-degree scenes surrounding the user.The build has also been improved with a matte-finish rubber coating that ensures better grip, as well as a face-mounted LED mode indicator.
Ricoh Theta S comes with 8GB of internal memory, but still there’s no option to expand it further via a microSD card. The camera is compatible with both iOS and Android devices via the Theta app, from where you can view live previews and adjust settings.
Images and videos can be uploaded to the company’s website, or social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr. You can even upload 360-degree videos to YouTube’s 360-degree channel and capture 360-degree images for Google Street view. The Theta S features an f/2.0 aperture and captures spherical images in a resolution of nearly 14MP. It can an capture full-HD video at 30fps, for a maximum recording time of 25 minutes.
