After Being Human clothing brand now Salman Khan to Launch his own Android Smartphone under BeingSmart Brand .Salman Khan has registered the ‘BeingSmart’ trademark for smartphones targeted at the entry-to-mid level market. He is currently looking for investors for his smartphone venture.

Khan will retain the majority of shares in the company either directly or through his family. He is currently building an operational management team to be headed by a professional with leadership stints at Samsung and Micromax, adds the report citing two top unnamed industry executives.

Khan has reportedly already selected the Chinese plant to manufacture the devices, and initial phone models that will boot Android and will be priced below Rs 20,000. BeingSmart smartphones will be positioned against the Chinese smartphone brigade like OPPO, vivo and Xiaomi.

Khan’s brand will initially sell devices online and later through large format retail stores across the country. The report says they may also be sold in Being Human stores, which is Khan’s clothing brand. He is expected to launch these devices before the festive season.
