This delay has been announced due to battery issues experienced by few users across the world. Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 7 in India on 11th August
Samsung India has issued a statement about the delay of sale, “Samsung is committed to producing the highest quality products and we take every incident report from our valued customers very seriously. In response to recently reported cases of the new Galaxy Note7, we conducted a thorough investigation and found a battery cell issue.
To date (as of September 1) there have been 35 cases that have been reported globally and we are currently conducting a thorough inspection with our suppliers to identify possible affected batteries in the market. However, because our customers’ safety is an absolute priority at Samsung, we have delayed sales of the Galaxy Note7 in India.
We acknowledge the inconvenience this may cause in the market but this is to ensure that Samsung continues to deliver the highest quality products to our customers”. This is probably the first time in the history of Samsung that its premium smartphone had to face such a big issue at the start of the launch.

Dual SIM device runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) On camera it has a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, OIS ,f/1.7 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The Dual pixel rear camera promises brighter and sharper images, even in low light. It has hybrid dual SIM support that lets you use the second slot as a expansion slot when required. In addition to fingerprint scanner, Samsung has added an Iris scanner for the first time that would let you unlock the phone using eye recognition.
