Samsung has introduced the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, the company’s first trifold phone. The device features a multi-folding form factor that expands from a standard smartphone profile into a 10-inch tablet-sized display.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is defined by its two distinct displays. The cover screen is a 6.5-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio, mirroring the dimensions of a standard flagship phone. It supports a peak brightness of 2600 nits. When unfolded, the device reveals a 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen with a resolution of 2160 x 1584. Both screens utilize adaptive refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz.
It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on Front and Ceramic-Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer on the rear. It has a 200 MP Wide-Angle Camera with OIS and an F1.7 aperture, 12 MP Ultra-Wide shooter and a 10MP Telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital “Space Zoom.” For selfies and video calls, the device houses two separate 10 MP sensors—one on the cover screen and one on the main internal display. Packed by a 5,600 mAh Battery with 45W wired charging and 15W Fast Wireless Charging 2.0.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is priced at 3,594,000 won ($2445 ) and will roll out first in Korea starting from December 12, followed by China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE and the U.S.
