Samsung has announced an updated version of the Gear VR headset with Galaxy Note 7. It features a new touchpad and supports USB Type-C.
The new Gear VR measures 207.8(W) x 122.5(L) x 98.6(H)mm and weighs 312g without the front cover. Samsung has widened the Field of View (viewing angle) from 96 degrees to 101 degrees for immersive video and gaming experience. The company is including a micro USB connector with the VR headset which will enable users to swap the USB Type-C connector. Samsung has not made any major changes in terms of design for the new Gear VR which will be compatible with the Galaxy Note 7, S7, S7 Edge, Note 5, S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge+.
