Xiaomi MIUI 8 global stable ROM rolling out from today

Xiaomi today released MIUI 8 Global Stable ROM for public MIUI 8 brings several new features such as redesigned colors, new Gallery app, Mi cloud photos, Scrolling screenshot.



Dual apps to use two accounts in all your apps and dual space to manage work and personal profiles, new Calculator app with advanced calculations and conversions, Floating ball to add your favourite apps and frequent actions  for better one-handed control, MIUI caller ID to identify numbers from Amazon, Swiggy, Dominos, Zomato and more, T9 Hindi keyboard, Mobikwik integration and more.

Redmi: Redmi Note 3 / Redmi 3S / Redmi 3S Prime / Redmi 1S  / Redmi 2 / Redmi 2 Prime / Redmi Note 4G / Redmi Note 3G
Mi: Mi Max / Mi 5 / Mi 4i / Mi 4

Devices which will get OTA update on August 23rd are: Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G. All users of these devices will be able to receive the update over-the-air today.

Some users will be able to receive the OTA update Redmi Note 2 and Redmi 2 on August 23rd as well. The update will be open to everyone on August 25.

Mobikwik integration: For mobile and DTH recharges
SMS: Now has tags for different messages from Flipkart, HDFC Bank, Vodafone and more, Add booking to calendar
Power saving mode: Freezes background app activity, suspends syncs, updates and background tasks
Limits chain start-ups: Prevents unessential apps from starting up, reduces lags and power consumption
