YouTube Kids app launched in India

YouTube has launched YouTube Kids app in India. The app offers child friendly content and makes it easier for kids to find videos on topics they want to explore.

The app offers popular kids videos in Hindi and English on the home screen and similar to the main YouTube app, you can search for videos in various Indian languages. YouTube Kids app sports larger images, bold icons and easier navigation as it is aimed for children. It also supports voice search to let children find videos in case they cannot spell or type yet. The app includes content from popular Indian YouTube creators such as ChuChuTV, KidsTV, Cat & Keet, The Yogic Elphant and so on.

Users can browse channels and playlists in four categories: Shows, Music, Learning and Explore. The app comes with a number of parental options. YouTube said it will add new guest selected playlists from educators, celebrities, trusted names, and other parents in the coming weeks.
