As per TRAI’s directive, Airtel has launched tariff plans for voice and SMS services without data. TRAI mandated separate Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) specifically for voice and SMS services to benefit specific user groups, including senior citizens and those residing in rural areas.
Rs. 509 plan offers unlimited local and roaming calls and 900 SMS with 84 days. If you need data, there is Rs. 569 plan with 6GB of data
e Rs. 1999 plan offers unlimited local and roaming calls and 3600 SMS with 365 days or 1 year of validity. The plan previously included 24GB of data, now costing Rs. 2249 if you need additional data.
These two plans are already available on Airtel Thanks app and on Airtel website for mobile recharges. Other operators are expected to launch similar plans soon.
