Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Dual Camera (ZD553KL) Review

Clicking Selfies has been a trend now with these smartphones makers are launching phones with Dual front-facing camera. Asus has launched  ZenFone 4 Selfie Dual Camera (ZD553KL) which comes with 4GB RAM and Dual front camera. Here’s our full review of Zenfone 4 selfie.

Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie comes with a Plastic body.On the front there is a 20MP+8MP Dual front camera with LED Flash, Notification LED, Earpiece and Sensor below the display there are touch capacitive button and Fingerprint Scanner.On the right side, there is a volume rocker and power button. On the left, there is SIM slot which has support for Dual SIM + MicroSD card slot. On the bottom, there is a Micro USB and a loudspeaker grill.On top there is Microphone & 3.5mm audio jack, It weighs 144 grams.On the Rear, there is a 16-megapixel camera with LED Flash and Asus branding. Build Quality of phone is good there are curved edges on the rear which gives good grip in hand. at this price, Asus should have used metal body

Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie features a 5.5-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD IPS 2.5D curved glass display which produces good viewing angles, colors both indoor but in outdoor bright sunlight you need to keep brightness at Full, Auto brightness sensor works fine. FullHD would have been a great deal at this price.

Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie DC is powered by a 1.4GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It has a  4GB RAM and 64GB of internal Storage out of 52GB available for the user which is further expandable with MicroSD card. Performance of smartphone is decent while playing normal games or using Apps there was no issue everything works smooth but while playing high-end games phone heats up and phone lags. On AnTuTu benchmark phone scores 44122 points whereas on Geekbench 4 phone scores 645 points on single core and 2555 points on multi-core

On Camera, Zenfone 4 Selfie DC has a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, PDAF, EIS
and 20MP front camera with soft LED Flash, f/2.0 aperture, a secondary 8MP camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.0 aperture. The front camera also comes with portrait mode, Both Camera can shot videos up to 1080P.  the front camera has Dual camera 20MP has normal lens while the second camera is the wide angle which has 120-degree wide-angle lens there is also LED Flash. the front camera produces good images in Daylight and Lowlight conditions, Portrait mode also works great.The Rear camera produces good images in daylight, low light, and indoor photos are decent.The overall performance of the camera is Good.

 

 

 

 

 

Asus ZenFone 4 Selfie Dual Camera runs on  Android 7.1.1 Nougat based on ZenUI 4.0. With ZenUI 4.0 Asus has reduced pre-installed Apps and comes with new features like Twin Apps, Page maker,  Game Genie. which basically clones supported apps in order to let you use multiple accounts at the same time. Page Marker adds a floating marker in Chrome, which lets you save Web pages for reading later and offers a ‘reader mode’ for articles There is also a Special mode which includes Easy mode and Kids mode. There is also a split-screen mode which lets you use two apps at the same time.Selfie Master is a launcher which lets you jump to the front camera for stills or video, create a collage or slideshow, or enter the BeautyLive mode, which was the highlight feature of the ZenFone Live.Asus will be rolling out Android Oreo Update to Zenfone 4 Series Soon. Overall Software experience was good.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS / GLONASS. Reliance Jio VoLTE works fine there was no issue with Celluar calls.Audio Quality is loud and clear. The device also comes with dedicated microSD card up to 2TB. Fingerprint Scanner on Home button is fast and responsive. It is packed with 3000mAh battery there is no fast charge support and it takes 3 hours to charge 0-100%. It is able to deliver a full day of battery life on Single with Normal use. On heavy use with Dual SIM, 4G Data, calls, Playing games it can last from 14-15 hours of battery life.

Asus Zenfone 4 Selfie comes in  Black and Gold color priced at Rs 14,999 in India it offers Good Camera, Decent performance, Asus should have included Full HD Display, metal body.
