FIR lodged against Ringing Bells under section 420 of IPC and 66 IT act

The FIR has been lodged against Amit Goyal and Ashok Chaddha of the company under section 420 of IPC and 66 IT act. Superintendent of police (Noida) Dinesh Yadav confirmed that an FIR has been lodged against the company officials and investigation has begun by Noida police into the matter.


Somaiya in his complaint asked Noida police to lodge criminal FIR against Ringing Bells under Section 420 of IPC and other sections against company Amit Goyal, Ashok Chaddha and others for cheating, forgery and misleading the common men, small investors and people of India by campaign of its product Freedom 251 smartphone.

“We remain committed to cooperate with any government agency that may require to inquire our organization for any reason or suspicion. I do maintain that we will deliver the most affordable quality products to our customers through our various range of smart phones, including the Freedom 251,” said Mohit Goel, director, Ringing Bells Pvt Ltd. Chaddha, however, refused to comment on the issue.

The complaint further reads that the company had raise fund by issuing misleading advertisement in leading newspapers, playing with words such a Make in India project of PM Narendra Modi. “Tricolour was also being abused in the advertisement to misguide the buyers.”The complaint reads that the leading newspapers also indulge indulged in misleading marketing advertisement in fraudulent manner in spite of knowing that such mobile can not be advertised or sold without the approval of Bureau of India standards (BIS).





In February, the company offered an online booking of its smart phone. Till February 21, seven crore people booked the phone online with nearly 30,000 paying the amount.
