Honor 7X is the latest smartphone from Honor with 18:9 Display & Dual Rear Camera price starts at Rs 12,999. Is it worth the price? Here’s our review of Honor 7X.

Honor 7X comes with Unibody metal design. On the front there is 5.93-inch FullHD+ 18:9 Display with 2.5D curved Glass, On the front, there is an 8MP front camera, earpiece, Notification LED below there is On Screen Buttons and Honor branding.The volume rocker and Power button present right, on the bottom there is 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port, and speaker grill. Sim slot on the left side, on top there is noise cancellation mic. on the rear, it has a Dual rear camera with Led flash, fingerprint scanner, and honor branding, edges are curved an gives good grip in hand, overall build quality of the phone is good.

On Display Honor 7X has a 5.93-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) Full HD+ 18:9 display. The display produces good viewing angle, colors. The display is protected by the 2.5D curved glass which lacks Gorilla Glass protection. Display quality is good.

Honor 7X is powered by Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor (4 xA53 at 2.36GHz + 4 x A53 at 1.7GHz) with MaliT830-MP2 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB / 64GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB with microSD. In terms of Gaming and Normal use Performance is good but while playing high-end games there was lag and also heating.GPU could have been better. The overall performance of the phone is good.On AnTuTu phones Scores 60312points, 1866 Points on Geekbench

Honor 7X has a 16MP rear camera and secondary 2MP camera with LED flash, and 8MP front camera. Honor 7X Rear Camera can record Videos up to 1080P and the Front camera can record Videos up to 720P. Both front and a Rear camera have support for Portrait mode. The rear camera has wide aperture and Moving Picture modes. the Camera App includes Pro Photo, HDR, Night Shot, TimeLapse, Light Painting, SlowMo, Effects, Filter, panorama Light paint and more. Camera performance in daylight condition is good, under the low light condition is average The front camera performs well also portrait mode works very well. Rear Camera portrait mode under low light and Indoor needs improvement. Video recording from Rear and front camera is Decent.

Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) with EMUI 5.1. EMUI comes with many additional features like App twin, You can also Enable Drawer App which was not available in earlier versions, floating dock, One Hand Mode, App Lock, File Safe, Dual Apps and More. Software experience on Honor 7X is fast and smooth, No details when Honor 7X will be getting Android oreo update.

Honor 7X comes with Fingerprint Scanner on the rear. you can add up to 5 fingerprints. The audio Quality output from Speaker is average.call quality is good. Honor 7X is packed with a 3340mAh Battery which does not support fast charging. takes 2 and half hour to charge fully from 0-100%. It is able to deliver 12-14hours of battery life on heavy use like Dual SIM, Data, Voice calls, browsing the internet, Playing games. On Normal use, it can last for Whole One Day.

 

Honor 7X comes in Black, Blue and Gold color priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 32GB storage version and the 64GB storage variant cost Rs. 15,999. Honor 7X offers good Display, Decent Rear camera, good Front camera, Battery life. lacks fast charging, USB Type C, 64GB model is priced higher.
