Microsoft India, in partnership with iBall, Thursday launched the iBall Splendo, the first compact and affordable PC-on-a-stick device that can convert a TV into a fully functional PC and a Smart TV. The iBall Splendo is bundled with a wireless keyboard and mouse unit, and priced at Rs. 8,999.
Specification wise, the iBall Splendo features an Intel Atom quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of inbuilt memory and is pre-loaded with Windows 8.1. It will also include Intel HD graphics, microSDXC card slot, USB and micro-USB ports, multi-channel digital audio, and WiFi and Bluetooth v4.0 connectivity.
The fully functional PC set-up can be used for work, such as checking emails and document editing. Because of its small size, it is portable and can be carried along while travelling on work as a replacement for the laptop. It can also be used for entertainment purposes, surfing through YouTube/videos, browsing photos and play games on TV.
