OnePlus launches 120Hz refresh rate OLED display technology

OnePlus at its 2020 Screen Technology event introduced Quad HD+ OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, 10-bit HDR.

OnePlus said that each screen is calibrated at the factory for accurate colors with RGB color temperature sensor with <0.8 Just Noticeable Color Difference (JNCD) rating.  It offers 4096-level (Up from 1024-level) automatic brightness adjustment, highest in Android. It can also be adjusted according to ambient light, multi-scene auto-dimming, screen color temperature dimming and so on. It also features a built-in MEMC motion compensation chip that is commonly seen in TVs to avoid motion blur.

OnePlus has also shared a comparison chart that compares that screen response between different phones and says that the company’s latest screen offers better response time. Upcoming OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to come with a 120Hz Quad HD+ AMOLED screen.
