Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with glass design with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and back. It has a 6.67-inch (2400  × 1080 pixels) 20:9 Full HD+ LCD panel with a centered punch-hole display. It display produces good colors and viewing angle in both indoor and outdoor conditions. There is support for Widevine L1 certification. Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 60Hz Refresh rate display whereas Realme 6 at the same price point comes with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Performance

Redmi Note 9 Pro is powered by the new Octa-Core Snapdragon 720G 8nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 618 GPU. It comes with 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB UFS 2.1 storage which is further expandable with MicroSD Card up to 512GB. In terms of normal use, performance is good while playing PUBG, Asphalt 9 phone does get warm no major heating issue. Overall gaming performance is good.

Camera

Redmi Note 9 Pro has a 48MP primary Samsung ISOCELL GM2 with f/1.79 aperture, 8MP 120° ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP 2cm macro lens, 2MP depth sensor, supports PDAF and EIS It comes with 16MP front-facing camera. video recording support up to 4K at 30fps. EIS Support up to 1080p. It comes with night mode, 960fps slow-motion, AI scene recognition, pro color mode. Redmi Note 9 Pro captures good images in daylight and Indoor conditions, Low light camera is decent. Front Camera captures good selfies. Portrait mode is edge detection is good.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Battery Life


Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with 5020mAh Battery which is higher in Note Series which is able to deliver more than 2 Days of battery life with Normal use. In our battery test, we got around 11 hours of battery life, In the PUBG Gaming test we got around 9 hours of backup and Video loop test around 14 hours of backup.

Fast Charging

Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with 18W fast charger in the box which takes around 2 Hour 30 Min to charge fully. Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 33W fast charger in the box.

Fingerprint Scanner

It comes with a Side-mounted fingerprint sensor that works fast as typical fingerprint scanner on the rear. When used with case sometimes it fails to unlock the device.

Bulky


Redmi Note 9 Pro comes with Big Display, Big battery it measures 165.7×76.6×8.8mm and Weight: 209g. The phone is heavy and not possible to use with a single hand.

 


Redmi Note 9 Pro is priced at Rs 13,999 for 4GB RAM and Rs 16,999 for 6GB RAM. The 4GB RAM model looks value for money it offers good performance, battery life, camera, Charging takes a long time. Instead of 6GB RAM model Redmi Note 9 Pro Max (6GB+64GB) at Rs 16,499 will be a better option with a 64MP Main sensor, and 33W Fast charging support.
