Samsung Galaxy Note 6 smartphone to be called as Galaxy Note 7

 Samsung is skipping Galaxy Note 6 name  to match the version number of the Galaxy S series and  will instead name the 2016 Galaxy Note phablet as Galaxy Note 7. The move is aimed at simplifying the Samsung mobile device line up. The Galaxy S series is in version 7 and the Note was always one step behind.




Samsung’s marketing department wants to avoid that consumers get the notion that the Note 6 is inferior than the Galaxy S7. By matching the model numbers Samsung’s line-up is easier to communicate. The report about Samsung skipping Note 6 and moving straight the Note 7

The report cites executive sources in the mobile industry as source for the information. Samsung has not make any official statements about the Note 7 and Note 6 for that matter. The move to Note 7 makes a lot of sense and is also not that unusual. Smartphone makers have played around with model numbers during the life time of devices already in the past.

Galaxy Note 7 will have the model number SM-N930. 5.8-inches Display with a 1440 x 2560 QHD resolution coupled with  6GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage  The Samsung Exynos 8890 SoC is under the hood.smartphone is also rumored to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor. In the photography department, a 12-megapixel camera with Super OIS Plus is also likely to be in tow



Galaxy Note 7 prototypes with IR autofocus are being tested internally, as well as prototypes rocking the exact same camera sensor as S7 and S7 Edge. both Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge come with 12 MP cameras with f/1.7 aperture, phase detection autofocus, and OIS.

Galaxy Note 7 will have a similar design to the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy Note 5. packed by a 4200mAh battery and the phone will come with an IP68 certification giving it dust and water protection for the very first time in the Galaxy Note series. Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is “Grace.” It also revealed the model numbers for the Verizon (SM-N930U_NA_VZW), AT&T (SM-N930U_NA_ATT), T-Mobile (SM-N930U_NA_TMB) and Sprint (SM-N930U_NA_SPR) branded versions of the device.
