Samsung at MWC 2016 announced Gear 360 that enables users to easily create, view and share 360-degree videos and images to enjoy a fully connected experience. B&H has now listed the camera in its catalog and reveals its full retail price of $350 Samsung has said it will go on sale in Q2 2016
Equipped with two 195-degree cameras that overlap, the Gear 360 captures 360 photos and videos (at nearly 4K resolution) by combining the videos from the two onboard cameras. This smart collage happens on your phone and the camera is compatible with Samsung’s top-end devices that are capable of taking this load: the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge +, Note 5, Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
Gear 360 can be synced with a Samsung smartphone and users will be able to preview content in real time when recording. Also, Gear 360 will automatically bring up filmed content for users to view and save on their smartphone or to upload and share directly on social channels including Google Street View. For a real 360 viewing experience, users can simply watch self-created content through Gear VR. All these features will be available through a dedicated mobile application for download from Galaxy Apps, Google Play and PC software for more in-depth editing capabilities.
