Quick Charge 4.0 not only charges faster but is designed to be more efficient and run cooler than prior generations. Compared to Quick Charge 3.0, Quick Charge 4 is up to 20% faster, or 30% more efficient, while charging up to 5° C cooler as per Qualcomm website.
The Quick Charge 4.0 is engineered to charge a typical smartphone from zero to 50% of battery charge in just 15 minutes or less. Also, just 5 minutes of charge in a device can get up to 5 hours of talk time. The latest technology is also USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery (USB PD) compliant.
