All three phones come with a polycarbonate body.Redmi 5A and 4A have a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display whereas Redmi Y1 Lite has a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display. All are powered by 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, Redmi 5A and Redmi 4A have 3GB RAM +32GB model. Redmi 5A and Y1 Lite have Dedicated MicroSD card.

On camera, all three phones have a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5MP front-facing camera, Support VoLTE. Redmi 4A has 3120mAh battery, Redmi Y1 Lite has 3080mAh battery whereas Redmi 5A has 3000mAh battery.
