Both phones come with a polycarbonate body, 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display powered
by 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with 500MHz Adreno 308 GPU. Both have 2GB/3GB  RAM, 16GB/32GB internal storage further expandable memory up to 128GB with microSD.

Both have a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p video recording, and 5MP front-facing camera.Redmi 4A has 3120mAh battery whereas Redmi 5A comes with 3000mAh battery.
