On Design Asus ZenFone Max M2 (ZB632KL) Looks similar to Zenfone Max Pro M1 It has a Metal body with plastic on top and bottom. On the front, it has a 6.3-inch (1520×720 pixels) HD+ 19:9 Notch display, Front facing camera, earpiece, sensors on the bottom it has On-Screen buttons.
On the Right, it has a Volume and Power buttons, MicroUSB port, Speaker grill on the bottom, SIM card slot on the left side, 3.5mm audio jack on the top. On the Rear, It has a Dual Rear Camera, Fingerprint Scanner and Asus branding. The Rear has curved edges which give good grip in hand. the phone measures 158.41×76.28×7.70mm and Weight: 160g. The device is light and can be used in Single Hand, The Rear panel does attract fingerprints which can be cleaned.
ZenFone Max M2 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor with Adreno 506 GPU, Snapdragon 632 is better compared to Snapdragon 625 and Snapdragon 450 found in Realme 2 and Redmi 6 Pro. It comes with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM with 32GB storage / 4GB LPDDR3 RAM with 64GB storage, expandable memory up to 2TB with microSD. Out of 32GB around 23GB is available for the user. In terms of Daily task like Social Media, Normal Gaming, Multitasking also works fine. High-end gaming like PUBG, Asphalt 9 performance is decent phone does get heat up while playing games for a long time. Performance on Zenfone Max M2 is good Now Asus has reduced price of Zenfone Max Pro M1 which has Snapdragon 636 processor for the same price.
On Camera Asus Zenfone Max M2 has a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, EIS, secondary 2MP camera which can record 4K videos and 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash It can record 1080p Video. Both front & Rear Camera has supported for portrait mode. The Rear Camera has support for EIS at 1080p. The camera produces good images in daylight low light camera is average, Selfies are good in both daylight and Low light there is also LED Flash, you can adjust amount of blur you need while capturing photos, Portrait mode, Camera Apps needs an update, Overall Camera performance is decent.
Asus Zenfone Max M2 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo which is Stock Android and does not come with a lot of pre-installed Apps also support for inbuilt clone App or App lock feature. User interface is smooth. There is Gestures support to Double Tap to lock the screen and Wake up Display More gestures should be added after Pie Update It also has support for Ambient Display. The user interface is smooth, Because of Notch you can’t check all notifications from the panel you have to swipe down to check Notifications also Battery percentage is Not displayed properly. Zenfone Max M2 will be getting Android Pie Update in coming.
Asus Zenfone Max M2 comes with Fingerprint Scanner on the Rear which works fast sometimes it takes few seconds to unlock, There is also support for face unlock which works under good lighting does not work under low light. It has support Dual 4G VoLTE. The audio output from Speaker and 3.5mm audio Jack is good, Call quality is loud and clear we didn’t face any issue with Jio VoLTE. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS + GLONASS, NXP Smart Amp. It does not have support for Native Video Calls also does not support 5GHz Wifi Band
Zenfone Max M2 is packed by 4000mAh battery which comes with 5V 2A charger which takes more than 2 Hours to charge fully Does not support fast charging. It is able to deliver one day of battery life with heavy use like Voice Calls, Social media use, Playing games, listening music with both Mobile data and Wifi use with 7-8 hours of Screen on Time. Battery Life is good considering HD+ Screen. With continuous gaming, we got more than 5 Hours of battery life.
