Infinix S5 Review

Infinix has launched Infinix S5 smartphone with Punch Hole Display, and Quad Rear Camera Setup priced at Rs 8999. Here’s our review of Infinix S5.

Box Content includes Phone, Adaptor, USB Cable, TPU Case, Protective Screen Guard, SIM Ejector Pin, Quick Start Guide, and Warranty Card.

On the front, Infinix S5 has a 6.6-inch HD+ Punch Hole Display. It has a 32MP In-display selfie camera, minimal bezels on top and bottom. On the right, there is Volume & power button, SIM card slot on the left side. 3.5mm audio jack, MicroUSB port, Speaker on the bottom. On Rear, it has a Quad Rear Camera with Quad-LED Flash, Fingerprint Scanner, Infinix Branding. It comes with crystal feather design, gradient finish, Plastic build. The phone is 7.9mm thin and weighs 178. With bigger display, it’s difficult to use a phone in a single hand. Overall build quality is good.

 

 

 

On Display Infinix S5 comes with a 6.6-inch HD+ Punch Hole Display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, 90.5% of Screen to body ratio. It produces good colors and Viewing Angles in indoor conditions, In outdoor contions display is average, It does not come with Auto brightness sensor. Infinix S5 is powered by Helio P22 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage out of which 53GB available for the user which is further expandable with MicroSD card up to 256GB. We have seen Helio P22 in Infinix S4, Hot 8 smartphones performance is good for normal usage, Not for playing games like PUBG, Asphalt 9 it lags in between phone does get heat up while playing for a long time.
It comes with a  Fingerprint Sensor on the rear which works fast, there is also support for Face Unlock which works fast under good lighting, does not work in low light.

On camera, Infinix S5 comes with a Quad rear Camera Setup, 16MP Primary Camera f/1.8 aperture, Quad-LED Flash, 5MP wide lens with 114 degrees field of view, 2MP Depth sensor, Super Macro Lens which helps in taking pictures of the subject from a very close range (Up to 2.5cm) and 32MP In-display selfie camera f/2.0 aperture. Both phones can record 1080p videos, No EIS support. Both the phone and the rear camera capture good images in daylight conditions, low light is decent. Wide-angle, Macro mode is decent, Bokeh mode is average.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It runs on XOS 5.5 based on Android Pie. It comes with preloaded apps that can be uninstalled. It has support for Digital, Smart Gestures, App lock, Hide Apps and more. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS,micro USB. Audio output is loud and clear, It has support for Dual 4G VoLTE, Voice Quality is good.

Infinix S5 is packed by a 4000mAh Battery which does not support fast charging which takes more than 3 hours to charge fully. Infinix S5 is able to deliver one day of battery with normal usage, In our battery test, we got 8 hours of screen on time.

 


Infinix S5 comes in Quetzal Cyan and Violet colors, is priced at Rs. 8999. It offers Punch Hole Display, Battery life, Camera, Decent performance, No fast charging support.
