Reliance today at annual general meeting (AGM) of Reliance Industries announced trariff plans , all 4G phones will be able to get Jio SIM Reliance Jio will be offering unlimited usage till December 31, 2016. That said, Mukesh Ambani had some good news for Jio’s existing customers who will get unlimited access to all Jio apps till December 31 2017

Those who have got their hands on a Jio SIM card will get unlimited access to Jio’s suite of apps till the end of next year, which are collectively worth Rs 15,000. These apps include the likes of JioPlay, JioOnDemand, JioBeats, JioXpressNews, JioSecurity, JioDrive, JioMags and JioMoney among others. Apps like JioPlay lets you watch live TV on the go, JioOnDemand lets you watch the movies from the company’s library, JioBeats is the company’s music streaming service, and JioMoney is a digital wallet that lets you transfer money to other people, as well as pay utility and various other kinds of bills.

In other words, voice calls and SMS messages are completely free, and there won’t be any charges for national roaming either. Ambani today also took the wraps off the tariff plans that new customers can opt for, and prices start from as low as s 150 per month and go up to Rs 4,999 per month. Additionally, customers will also be able to enjoy truly unlimited data usage at nights, when the networks are usually idle. Ambani also revealed that the Jio family boasts over 50 lakh members, and going forward the aim is to reach 100 million customers in the shortest possible time. This would translate to about data usage of 250 crore GB a month. It may look like a difficult aim, but going by the response, it doesn’t seem impossible. The extension of Jio’s preview offer to other smartphone companies saw huge queues outside Reliance Digital stores, which is not surprising when you look at the tariffs. The company plans to improve on that situation by using e-KYC documents. This initiative will start off in Delhi and Mumbai, and Aadhaar card users will have their connections activated in just 15 minutes.
