Samsung launches Galaxy A series (2016) smartphones with Metal Body, Fingerprint Scanner

Samsung has finally launched three new metal-clad handsets in its Galaxy A series – Galaxy A3, A5 and A7. The smartphones will be available in China by mid-December. It is later expected to arrive in other markets.The Galaxy A3, A5 and A7 smartphones are believed to be the mid-range alternative to the Galaxy S series.

Galaxy A3 feature a 4.7-inch HD display, 1.5GB of RAM, and a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. All three run Android 5.1 Lollipop. They will come with 16GB onboard storage that is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card slot. packed by a 2300mAh battery.

Galaxy A7 sports a 5.5-inch full HD 1920 x 1080p and weighs 172 grams. The internals include a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM and support for LTE category 6 network speeds. A 3,300mAh Fast Charging battery completes the package.The next in line is 155 gram Galaxy A5 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, and a 2900mAh battery that promises fast charging. It measures 144.8×71.0×7.3mm and weighs 155 grams. The A5 as well as A7 feature Samsung Pay’s Magnetic Secure Transmission, NFC payment systems and fingerprint scanner.

Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) and Galaxy A7 (2016) have been priced at CNY 2,398 (approximately Rs. 25,000) and CNY 2,699 (approximately Rs. 28,000) respectively.
