Students to get 25% more Data on Reliance Jio

Reliance today announced that Jio welcome offer will be available for all users starting September 5 Welcome Offer gives everyone free unlimited data and access to Jio’s premium apps till the end of the year. Reliance also announced tariff plans and 25% more Data for students




Mukesh Ambani, CMD of Reliance Industries, announced the official Jio tariff plans at the Annual General Meeting of the company today, and mentioned that students will get 25 percent extra data benefits on the main tariff plans. So if a student can furnish an official ID card while enrolling for the Jio services, he or she will get 25 extra data on the chosen tariff plan.

If  student have Rs 499 plan, he or she will get 1GB extra data over and above the 4GB already included. Similarly, the Rs 1,499 plan would offer 5GB extra data, over and above the 20GB which is included by default. In addition, Ambani also said that Jio will be working with schools and colleges across India to provide broadband access over Wi-Fi. Students holding ID Card only will get 25% more data

India’s massive student population stands to benefit from these offers, and till the time the Wi-Fi broadband setups at schools and colleges is made available, even the offer of extra data seems quite useful. High-speed internet access on mobile devices can be quite beneficial for students, and needless to add, can help them in their studies and academic projects. Jio’s mission is to bring affordable connectivity to the masses, and its special gesture towards students deserves kudos.
