Lenovo launched Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones at MWC 2017 which is a successor to last year Moto G4 and G4 Plus. Here are 7 Things You Need to Know About Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus



Design

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus comes with Metal design body, Fingerprint Scanner on the front. Coming to back panel there is Plastic on Top and bottom,  also slight curve on Back which gives a good grip to use a device in Single hand. Moto G5 and G5 Plus looks premium

Google Assistant

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones feature support for Google Assistant, the search engine’s artificial intelligence based digital assistant, Google assistant is conversational—an ongoing two-way dialogue between you and Google that understands your world and helps you get things done. It makes it easy to buy movie tickets while on the go, to find that perfect restaurant for your family to grab a quick bite before the movie starts, and then help you navigate to the theater

 Camera

 Moto G5 Plus sports a 12-megapixel rear camera, with f/1.7 aperture and dual autofocus pixels, 4K video recording, and dual-LED flash. On the other hand, the rear camera on Moto G5 comes with 13MP Rear camera PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash.  Both Moto G5 and G5 Plus has a 5 Megapixel front camera.

One Button Nav

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus smartphones come with One Button Nav feature that allows users to navigate through the screens using just the fingerprint scanner on the phone. Also, there is Moto Display, which allows users to get a preview of their notifications without having to unlock their smartphone. Moto Actions users can get to their most used features with simple gestures without having to touch any button. You can simply twist the smartphone to open camera app or chop down twice to turn on the flashlight.

Water repellent nano-coating

Moto G5 and G5 Plus come with a water-repellent coating, which may not make them entirely waterproof but should offer some protection against spills and rain drops.

Fingerprint Scanner

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus comes with Fingerprint Scanner on the front.The fingerprint scanner on Moto G5 series is fast and responsive. It is not a Home button just Fingerprint scanner similar to Moto G4 Plus



Processor

Moto G5 is powered by 1.4GHz Octa-Core 64-bit Snapdragon 430 (MSM8937) processor with Adreno 505 GPU whereas G5 Plus has a 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU

Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus come in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold colors. The Moto G5 starts at 199 Euros (US$ 210 / Rs. 14005 approx.) for 2GB RAM/16GB storage. The Moto G5 Plus starts at US$ 229 (Rs. 15260 approx.) for the 2GB RAM/32GB storage and 279 Euros (US$ 294 / Rs. 19630 approx.) for 3GB RAM/32GB storage. There is also a 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version for select markets. Both the phones will be available beginning in March in various countries across Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and North America. Moto G series expected to debut in India in March
