Jio Call Agent: AI Integrated Directly Into the Network

One of the biggest announcements at the AGM was the introduction of Jio Call Agent, a network-native AI voice assistant that operates directly through the Jio telecom network. Unlike conventional AI assistants that require dedicated applications, Jio Call Agent can be activated during regular phone calls using the voice command “Hey Jio.”

The AI-powered service supports multiple Indian languages and offers several advanced capabilities:

Real-Time Call Transcription

The system can identify up to 10 unique participants during a conference call and generate live transcriptions across multiple languages.

Intelligent Call Summaries

After a call ends, the AI automatically creates summaries, action points, and reminders, which can be shared with all participants.

Task Execution During Calls

Users can instruct the AI assistant to perform various tasks while the call is ongoing, including:

  • Ordering food
  • Booking cab rides
  • Reserving restaurant tables
  • Scheduling calendar meetings

Reliance plans to roll out Jio Call Agent in phases later this year to its subscriber base of more than 500 million users.

MyJio.AI Care: A New Conversational Self-Care Experience

MyJio.AI Care

Reliance also announced a major transformation of the MyJio application, which currently serves over 600 million users.

The traditional menu-based interface will evolve into an AI-powered conversational platform called MyJio.AI Care. Instead of navigating through multiple screens and menus, users can simply speak their requirements, and the AI assistant will complete tasks autonomously.

Key Capabilities

  • Automated self-KYC processes
  • Seamless eSIM activation on new devices
  • Intelligent international roaming pack recommendations based on travel destinations
  • Account and data migration support when relocating to another city
  • Personalized service management through voice interactions

Reliance emphasized that all actions performed by the AI assistant will require explicit user confirmation, ensuring transparency, privacy, and consent-based operations.
